This course is a one-day, 8 hour introduction to Anatomy & Kinesiology with elements of functional movement and longevity with a focus on yoga practice and teaching.
Adam Ballenger, M.S, B.S, brings decades of teaching yoga, both internationally and locally, as well as decades of experience with movement science, mindfulness and functional movement.
For this event, Adam, will refer to human anatomy while presenting concepts on human movement that will include, muscle-slings, myofascial tracts, motor-development, neuro-muscular control and yoga asana. The course will include lecture, presentation, movement lab, and asana practice (with focus from the course-work).
Participants can expect to be introduced to topics of anatomy, posture and movement, for the purpose of developing new understandings into alignment and movement practices in yoga asana.
