Brandy is a Utah native and has been in the medical industry for over 25 years. During her medical career she started running and training for marathons. Much of her training suggested other exercise to reduce the chance of injury. Yoga practice was a natural and logical addition to her daily routine. Its during this period that Brandy appreciated all the additional benefits, both mentally and physically that yoga offered. Yoga practice is a journey and her journey led her to Enlighten Wellness over two years ago as a student. When the Yoga Teacher Training program was announced, she felt like it would be a great way to increase her knowledge and understanding of Yoga. This 9-month journey allowed her to connect with a new group of friends, and above all, give back to the Yoga community. Brandy is earning her RN bachelor’s degree at the University of Utah, her exposure to anatomy and physiology concurrent with Yoga training has been unique and beneficial to everyone around her. Brandy’s recent education and training is a true example of Eastern and Western medical philosophies converging. She is a recent graduate of the 200 Hour Teacher Training Program.

With over 500 hours of training under her belt and a passion to help people feel good in their bodies, Amber shows up ready to raise your vibration! Her classes are a mixture of mindful movement, gentle and vigorous flows, deep stretches - and of course, fun! - always with a focus on breath and alignment. My teacher once told me, "yoga is about looking within and loving what's there." I've carried that teaching with me and want my students to find that within themselves. She is also a certified Health Coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and spends her free time exploring the mountains with her dog, Teddy.

Bethany found her yoga practice after a move from California to Colorado in 2011. As an athlete and former volleyball player, she quickly learned there was much more to yoga than a physical practice. Bethany found her time on the mat brought a deeper connection of mental and physical challenge she hadn't found on the courts. It allowed her to look inward, find areas of growth to step into, and channel the power of her breath. She completed her 200 RYT teacher training in 2016 after another move back to California. Bethany’s an engaged instructor who invites her students to carry their practice off their mats and into everyday life by observing their thoughts and posture. Off the mat, you’ll usually find Bethany outdoors with her husband and three boys - biking up mountains in the summer and skiing down in the winter.

Megan grew up in the shadow of the Wasatch mountains taking every opportunity to enjoy the outdoors; skiing, and hiking, biking and climbing. The need to slow down and find a balance came with all the active and strenuous sports. She was introduced to Yoga by her mother who had been practicing with the new wave of yoga in LA in the 70’s. Her mother gifted a VHS tape of Tracy Rich and Ganga White not knowing where it would eventually take her. Megan was hooked and made the practice a regular part of her life from that moment on.
After successfully sending her last baby bird out from the nest the time was finally right to pursue her own ambitions. Megan set out to get her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Nicaragua. After a month of training in Ashtanga and learning the true meaning of commitment to the practice she returned to California and immediately began teaching. She has been learning and growing as a student and instructor for the past 8 years. Adding training in trauma-informed yoga, alignment, sequencing, and meditation has expanded her passion and natural prowess as an instructor.
Megan has an organically intuitive way of teaching. She has a youthful playfulness and a lighthearted approach to her yoga practice and her classes. Bringing mindfulness, spirituality, and physicality together seamlessly she is a talented and dedicated instructor who’s classes will bring a silver lining to the toughest days.

After years of sneaking into class and setting her mat up in the furthest possible spot from the front, Kristin was approached by a teacher, who she looked up to with great reverence, and was told she would be a wonderful teacher and that she should do Yoga Teacher Training. With absolutely no intention of ever teaching, and simply out of respect for a teacher she respected highly, she decided to go through with it. Now, years later and with over 500 hours of teacher training under her belt from all different styles of yoga and locations around the world, she can humbly say that she is a yoga teacher. Kristin's core belief when guiding others on their yogic journey is to find their breath first, and only move in a way that honors that breath. When we find breath in the body, we find stillness in the mind. And when we find stillness in the mind, we are able to connect with out highest and truest Self. That connection is the true essence and beauty of yoga.

She immediately noticed how difficult it was to surrender to her overthinking mind and tune into her breath, knowing this was something she needed and fully embraced the challenge. In 2019, she became certified for her 200 hour RYT at Atmananda Yoga Studio in New York City. The following year Nicole traded in her New Jersey roots for the mountains of Utah leading to creating lasting memories and unforgettable adventures. You will find her bouncing between classes, soaking up the local wisdom from the amazing pool of instructors that we have access to here in Park City. She continues to learn about the many disciplines of yoga and broadens her education with teacher trainings rooted in the philosophy of yoga, advanced sequencing, and trauma informed teaching styles. Her classes are structured around a more gentle style of alignment focused, heated vinyasa flows that feature upbeat music allowing you to drop into your breath and practice mindfulness. Her yoga philosophy is based around the belief that we do yoga not just for ourselves, but for the people around us so that we can go out into the world leading with kindness.

Penelope has been teaching health and movement for four decades and became passionate about yoga after moving to Park City 16 years ago. Penelope is trained in Hatha and Somatosensory yoga, with a focus on developing strength and fluidity in movement, based on alignment and conscious movement, while also encouraging students to intuitively explore the uniqueness of their bodies and practice. This begins with breath. A key component of Penelope's instruction is the connection of mind, body, and spirit, beginning with developing a deeper relationship with the breath and connecting to its natural power as a tool for healing, transformation, and relaxation. By consciously and compassionately connecting with the body and breath, they become anchors into the present, creating greater clarity and awareness, which allows access to a simpler flow of life. Her intention is that her students leave the studio feeling a little less heavy in their minds and a little more open in their bodies.
In addition to yoga, Penelope teaches guided meditations and is a certified Forest Therapy Guide with ANFT, also certified in Wilderness First Aid.
Penelope has a Master of Science in Exercise Physiology and Clinical Health Coaching from the University of Utah, where she held a faculty position for several years teaching graduate students Mind/Body Interventions in Complementary and Alternative Medicine. She has also worked extensively in community health promotion. She served on the Executive Leadership Board for the American Heart Association and currently serves on the Community Action Board for the University of Utah College of Health Sciences. Penelope is also a national speaker, focusing on living healthfully in the face of chronic disease.

Yoga opened my body, my heart, my soul. It helped me release trauma and grief that I had been storing for years. I was cracked open and there was no going back. I achieved new levels of physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental strength. I found myself.
I completed my 200hr immersive yoga teacher training in Nosara, Costa Rica. A beautiful, magical place that speaks to my soul. I am honored to guide classes and hold space for all yogis in this amazing community of Park City. When not taking or teaching a yoga class, I can (perhaps) be found exploring the mountains and deserts of this gorgeous state

Her family recently returned to the US after living in Tokyo, Japan (konnichiwa!)—she has bounced around the world with various work assignments. She feels gratitude to have found this lovely Enlighten Yoga Family while living in BeaUtahful Utah!
Kristi loves to teach slow flow, restorative, hatha, vinyasa, warm stretch/rolling. In Japan she trained under a reiki and yoga master to receive additional experience in hands-on adjustments and spinal alignment. Living in Asia offered opportunities to learn and deeply appreciate Zen Buddhism and meditation; she weaves those teachings into her personal practice and instruction (there are teenagers in my house, need I say more?).
She is currently volunteering at an at-risk alternative highschool in SLC, teaching yoga and mindfulness courses at Bridled Up Hope (an equine therapy center for women and teenage girls), and leads weekend retreat experiences—a fusion of art and yoga—at a hot springs resort center in So.Idaho.
Her goal before turning 50 next year (woohoo!) is to attend a silent retreat at a wonderful ashram in No. India (Dharamshala धर्मशाला) and eat an embarrassingly indulgent number of dosas with coconut chutney.

Christine became an avid practitioner at 16 after retiring from competitive skiing. She found solace and flourished in her practice in 2020 when she moved to San Luis Obispo to attend Cal Poly. The ability of asana to create synergy between the physical body and mind is what makes yoga so valuable to Christine. Christine hopes to share her knowledge of the origin and values of yoga so that each student can have a strong foundation of yoga, tap deeper into their own practice, and move with radiant energy!
